The post Soviet crisis of self-identification became clear while searching ideas and values that could be common for the Russian modern society. Recent conservative social change leads to the variety of archaic models. They would look like anachronismes and traits hiding the mental vacuum in the modern globalization.
The "Sceneries" appeals to the locus amoenus or "ideal environment", which is recreated by variety media myths. These cult mythes of war and victory and the result of national history represents by the patrioutic amusement parks, various state festivals and amateur folk museums at the edge of the cities. This objects create the phanatasmagoric universe that exists between borderline of reality and fiction, and it becomes less and less noticeable. I isolate them within the romanticized space, the "landscape of mind" to which they refer, and I try to change their narrative by moving into the area of art.
